Bleeding hemroids is considered to be the worst form of hemroids. Though hemroids can’t always be blamed for rectal bleeding, it is still recommended for you to consult your physician when you experience symptoms of rectal bleeding. The results can either be internal or external hemroids. Usually, in the case of external hemroids, there’s no appearance of hemroid blood. Though due to anal fissure, bleeding may occur in some cases.

Who are prone to bleeding hemorrhoids? Pregnant women are considered to be more prone, but after the birth of the baby, these women get relief. Aside from pregnancy, there are several other causes of bleeding hemorrhoids, such as age, obesity, and heredity.

Below are examples of bleeding hemroids treatments:
• Rubber band ligation. This works by using a constricting band to stop the flow of blood, causing the hemorrhoids to shrivel within 7 to 10 days.
• Infrared photocoagulation. In this specific bleeding hemroids treatment, the doctor uses a device that gives off a beam of infrared light that is intense enough to cause scar tissue, which cuts off the hemorrhoid’s blood supply. After the hemorrhoid dies, a scar is formed on the anal canal’s wall. The presence of the scar tissue is what holds the nearby veins so that they don’t bulge into the anal canal.
• Hemorrhoidectomy. This bleeding hemroids treatment involves surgical procedure. As statistics have shown this treatment a cause for incontinence later on, this is only recommended for severe cases.

There are also some hemorrhoids that can be treated in non-pharmacological ways. These cases are very mild and can heal without medication. In such cases as these, all the patient has to do is to sit in warm water for around 15 minutes, to be repeated three to four times daily. The patient should use mild, unscented soap and water to clean the anorectal area after bowel movements. This is to lessen the symptoms.
